Job Title: MIG Welder (Contract)
Location: Leicester
Contract Duration: November – End of February

We are currently seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a well-established and organised fabrication company in Leicester. This is a contract position running through to the end of February, working within a clean, supportive, and productive workshop environment.

About the Role:
You will be working on a range of architectural and structural mild steel projects, welding material thicknesses from 3mm up to 20mm. The company operates to a high standard of planning and structure, offering a positive and professional atmosphere for skilled tradespeople.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MIG welding of mild steel components (3mm–20mm).

  • Working from engineering drawings accurately and efficiently.

  • Producing high-quality welds to meet company and client specifications.

  • Maintaining a tidy and safe workspace in line with health and safety requirements.

  • Contributing effectively to team goals while also working independently.

  • Meeting production targets and maintaining consistent output.

Requirements:

  • Time-served experience or relevant qualifications.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings confidently.

  • Coded is beneficial but not essential.

  • Good work ethic with a reliable and positive attitude.

  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 17:30

  • Friday: 07:00 – 09:30 (early finish)

  • Additional hours available for those wishing to work overtime.

Overtime Rates:

  • Over 42 to 47 hours: Time and a quarter

  • Over 47 hours: Time and a half

  • Sundays: Double time

Pay: £16+ per hour (depending on experience).
